The Irish Huddle - November 24, 2011

November 25th, 2011

BGI Radio presents "The Irish Huddle", hosted by the legendary radio voice of Notre Dame football, Tony Roberts, with Blue & Gold Illustrated senior editor Lou Somogyi and writer Dan Murphy. "The Huddle" is available every week , including during football season. Please check with for further, complete coverage of the Fighting Irish football team.

During today's segment, "The Huddle" looked back to last weekend's narrow 16-14 win over Boston College in the home finale at Notre Dame Stadium this season. With the win, the Irish improved to 8-3 heading into the regular season finale Saturday against Stanford in Palo Alto.

Check back tomorrow and Saturday morning for the remaining segments of this week's "Irish Huddle".

I like Tony Roberts, but his negativity on Brian Kelly strains his credibility. How is Spaziano saying we “didn’t make enough plays,” any less of a pat answer than BK saying Rees is 12-2 as a starter. And, how does a guy who has called football games for 40 years not know that punt returners are taught to stand on the 10 yard line and let the ball go over their heads and not try to catch them? Every team does that.
